Step Ⅰ Lead-in
T: Good morning , everyone. Since it’s the first time we’ve met each other, I’d like to introduce myself. Just as you can see, I am a lady and I like wearing beautiful clothes. Besides, I always like trying something new. Recently I’ve learnt something I’ve never tried before. Do you know what that is?
S: I don’t know.
T: Look at the picture, please.
S: You learn how to make Zongzi.
T: Yes, you got it. I’m preparing for a Chinese traditional festival, which is approaching. Do you know what it is.
S: It’s the Dragon boat festival.
T: You’re right. I’m looking forward to it. Because I can watch very exciting Dragon Boat Races . But unfortunately, I don’t know when and where the races will be held. So who can tell me how I can get such information.
S: You can ask your friends , read newspaper, surf the internet...
T: Among these approaches, which do you think is the fastest source?
S: The internet.
T: I agree. Now let’s see how fast it develops by watching a video.
Step Ⅱ Project
Task one: Skimming and listening
T: From the video, we know nowadays people can’t live without the internet. So we must learn how to do research on the internet, which is what we’re going to learn today. Now please open your book and turn to page 46, go through the passage as quickly as you can and then tell me what steps you have to follow when you search information on the Internet.
S: There’re three steps:
Step one: choosing a search service
Step two: searching for information
Step three: using your information
T: Well done. Do you know how many search services do we usually have?
S: One is search engine, like Baidu.
