Analysis of Teaching Material:
本单元的话题为交通工具(transport)。其实交通工具对高二的学生来说并不陌生,他们在以前的英语学习中都有接触过,这次的学习是为了扩大他们对交通工具方面的词汇量。Part A部分讲述了许多种不同的道路的名称;Part B部分将交通工具细分,分别是陆地上的交通工具、空中的交通工具以及海洋中的交通工具,这样便于学生记忆;Part C部分是对前两个部分学习的一个巩固练习。所以每个部分都是紧密联系的,这也都集中体现了本单元的重点。
Analysis of the Students:
对于高二的学生来说,学生们已经有了一定的英语基础,他们不仅能听懂老师的英语指令,而且也已经掌握了一定的词汇量。本单元的话题是交通工具,这一话题与学生的生活息息相关,所以对学生来说是比较熟悉的,因此学生学起来比较得心应手。但是,要让个别基础比较差的学生掌握这些新词,学会用这些词汇来造句,并且运用到生活中来,这还是需要老师的辅导。
Teaching Objectives:
Knowledge aim: Students learn words and expressions related to transport and road.
Ability aim: Students are expected to enlarge their vocabulary and put them to practical use.
Emotional aim: Students can be cooperative and helpful when working together.

Teaching Difficult Point: Help the students apply these words related to transport to practical use.

Step 1: Lead-in
Before our class, let’s listen to a music named Transportation Song, then you guys have to answer two questions.
