模块八 Module VIII Appreciating literature and art《Reading(1):Appreciating literature》优质课教案下载
Chapter I is the very beginning of the story work, which gives the readers the background and basic information about the story. By reading this part, students can know how to read an English novel, quickly grab the basic elements of novel and seek the hint and the clue of the following part.
III. Analysis of Students
Students of the second year of senior high school may have already read the Chinese translation version of The Call of the Wild. Therefore, it is proper to introduce this novel at this time. The theme of the novel “survival of the the fittest” may inspire the students in this period to further understand the meanings of being hardworking, which makes it easier to involve them in the class. Students’ critical thinking have developed to some extent, therefore they will be able to think about the deep meanings of the theme. Since the English version we use in class is a simplified one, a suitable one for senior 2 students, students have little trouble understanding the words and phrases in Chapter I.
