Presentation: the author’s life experience:

Emily Bronte was born on July 30th, 1818, the fifth child of six. When she was 3 years old, her mother died, and the children were brought up by an aunt. They lived in a small village, which was on the edge of a large moor (荒野). Emily Bronte died of illness in December 1848.

Task: Answer the question below.

Can you find some examples from the novel to prove that the author’s life and experience had an effect on the writing of the novel?

Answers for reference:
