Step1: lead-in
Show students the picture which actually stands for a Chinese poem and ask them to analyze the scene, feeling and theme it reflects.
By analyzing the poem, students start to recall some techniques to appreciate a poem, and then it becomes easier to lead them to analyze the English poem.
通过熟悉的中文诗歌类比到英文诗歌分析,创建一个充满诗意的氛围,为接下来的课堂教学做铺垫。
Step 2: analyze the passage
1. Talk about the structure of the passage; ask students to fill in the blanks.
2. Discuss each part in detail and ask students to finish different kinds of exercises.

2. To know something about the poet and enhance students’ comprehension of the passage. By using exercises, students are able to have a better understanding.
