Students will be asked to enjoy four pieces of music and the teacher will ask Ss. to express their feelings after listening to the music. It is a good way to introduce today’s topic----music, which can be used to convey many feelings, such as love, sorrow, friendship and peace. It is a universal language, because people do not need to speak the same language to understand it. (导入:通过让学生听四段不同风格的音乐,体验音乐带给他们的共同感受,从而导出话题------音乐不受国家,语言,地域等限制,是人类共同的语言)
Step 3 Ask and answer
The teacher will use some easy questions to make Ss. be interested in the topic and bravely express their own opinions about why they like music and their favorite musicians. (问答:通过自由表达和双人活动两个环节,询问学生四个简单的有关音乐的问题,激发他们对音乐的兴趣,从而鼓励学生大胆地表达他们喜欢音乐的原因及勇敢地谈论他们最喜欢的音乐家)

Pair work(双人活动)
The teacher will give Ss.2 minutes to discuss the 2 questions with their partners and ask some pairs to perform the dialogue on the stage.(利用双人活动讨论他们最喜欢的音乐家及该音乐家的音乐所属类型,并让学生上台展示,为下一环节谈论其他类型的音乐做铺垫)
