Teaching procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
T: Could you guess what this unit is about from the title? (paintings)
Step 2 Talking and Discussing
Then let them to enjoy some pictures，answer the following questions：
what type of painting is this?
Do you know the painter of this picture？
Do you know the name of this picture？
( mural drawing abstract art painting of nature still life portrait)
This step can help the students get some common knowledge about paintings which may help them to continue the next.)
Later T shows them another five pictures and ask them tell which type each one belongs to (murals still life abstract art, paintings of nature, or portraits.)
Step 3 Reading
Ask the Ss to read the text---“visiting the masters” quickly, answer the questions in Part A.(fast reading)
Then read the text again(careful reading),do the Exercise C1 ,C2
Step 4 Summary
Summmarize the main points of the text by doing the exercise “Fill in blanks according to the text”
Step 5 Homework
Finish the exercises A1 A2 and Reading A，B in the workbook.
