Teaching procedures:
Step1 Lead-in
Analyze the possible examination of emphatic sentence in college entrance examination paper.
Step2 Revision
First ,revise the basic structure of emphatic sentence. That is “It is/was +the emphasized part +who/that +the rest part of the original sentence.”
Second,explain in what cases to use was/is and who/that.
Third,emphasize two concord:subject-verb concord and subject-object concord.
Fourth,look back on the four changes of sentence patterns of emphatic sentences. They are simple question,particular question,exclamatory sentence and ellipsis form.
Step3 Five complex structures
Combination of emphatic sentence with attributive clause,subject clause,object clause,apposition clause and adverbial clause of time.
Step4 Addition of some other sentence structures
It is /was not until+被强调部分+that+其他成分
It be + 时间段 + since ...句型
It be + 时间 + when ...句型
It was / will (not) + 时间段 + before ...
肯定句中表“过了……之后某事才发生”;
