Step 1 lead-in
Dub a preview video of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and show students the video to stimulate their interest in learning English.

Step 2 enjoy a micro-lesson of Nancy’s film review on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
Make micro-lesson of a film review on Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone to process the long text. Show students the micro-lesson and ask students to think about the following two tasks, and then check the answers.
1. What’s a film review?
2. Think about the main ideas of the film review for each part.
Step 3 structure of a film review
Analyze the structure (introduction, advantages, drawbacks, recommendation) and introduce what elements can be included in each part.（通过分析影评的结构，掌握写影评的一些句子结构）
Step 4 Sentence patterns
