Step 1: Lead-in
Arouse the Ss’ interest by showing some pictures of Canada. Ask the Ss to describe Canada using some adjectives. Then finish some sentences with these adjectives.
Brainstorming: Tell Ss to predict what subjects will be mentioned in the passage.
Step 2: Fast reading
Ask Ss to read the text quickly ,focusing on the first sentence of each paragraph and then finish the match exercise-----about the structure.
Step 3: Careful reading
