Step two: read for the gist

Task one: predict information based on the title The Acropolis Now

Which is the best symbol, according to the author?

Question: What aspects of the Acropolis does he mention in the passage?

Why does the author choose the Acropolis as the topic?

Task two: Analyze the structure of the passage

Question: find out the main idea (key words or phrases) of each paragraph.

How many parts can the passage be divided into?

Can you draw up the outline of the passage?

Question: Can we delete the first part since it has nothing to do with the Acropolis?

Step three: read for details

Task one: Please read part three and list all the damages given in the passage.

How to solve these problems according to you?

Please read part four and find out all the solutions given by the author.

Task two: Which of the solutions is the most effective?
