Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead-in (To be a quick-minded guesser)
Do a guess game: There is a man in our life that can’t be substituted, who is he?
Ask students to think out some films concerning the love between father and son
Show a video clip of “life is beautiful”, share feelings of the plot
Compare the love between father and son in different periods, such as wartime and peaceful era. One is “life is beautiful”, the other is “the pursuit of happyness”.
【Purpose】通过guess game引入话题,调动学生积极思维,通过图片了解我们眼里的父亲,引起共鸣。再播放life is beautiful经典片段---父亲临死前为了保护孩子还是那么乐观地做出夸张的动作,幽默中又带有丝丝悲凉,从而感受到父爱的伟大。再通过“the pursuit of happyness”来体现和平年代,父亲的努力奋斗,为了生活为了梦想,虽然中间的过程很辛苦,但是最终取得的成功还是很有感染力的,特别是中为了寻一栖身之所,带着儿子住进卫生间那一段,生活的辛苦不能击败一个人的斗志。透过这些图片与视频让学生对本文的父子故事充满期待,为阅读本文做好必要的情感铺垫。
