教学设计理论依据
根据《普通高中英语课程标准(实验)》的要求,英语教师在课堂教学中必须以学生为主体,培养学生自主学习的能力和团队合作精神;注重提高学生用英语获取信息,处理信息,分析问题和解决问题的能力。
教材分析
本课是高二课外阅读文本。本文作者通过一些具体事例向我们展示了父亲高尚的品质,文章生动感人,能让学生深刻体会到父爱的伟大,所以学生阅读兴趣较大。
学生分析
本课的教学对象是高中二年级的学生,对于高二的学生的来说,该文本有一定数量的生词,不过对于文本整体理解的影响不大。他们已经掌握了寻读、略读等阅读技巧,形成了初步的阅读策略。
教学目标
Teaching objectives
(1)Get the students to understand the passage by conducting the analysis of discourse.
(2)Let the students share their ideas by practising reflective thinking.
(3)Enable the students to develop deep love for family members especially their parents.

By comparing a picture of Li Yifeng and a picture of my husband, I want to enable my students to know that father is always a hero in children’s eyes. And after that, I show them a video called My father is a liar to activate their interest in reading the passage.
