2 Free talk :

T : Do you want to know something about your classmates’ school trip ? Now Ask your partner :What did you do on your school trip ? Then fill in the following chart.

Step 2 :Pre-task :

1.Look at the Grammar Focus. Ask students to read the sentences in the box together.

2. Ask students to write the past forms of the following verbs. Pay attention to regular and irregular verbs.

3. Check the past forms .Then ask Ss to summarize the rules of past forms of the regular verbs.

4. Explain the Past Tense in detail.

一 用法

1.一般过去时表示过去某个时间或某段时间内发生的动作或存在的状态。

2.一般过去时还可表示过去经常或反复发生的动作。

常与表示过去的时间状语连用,如 yesterday, last night/week/time,…days ago, on Sunday morning, etc.

二 构成

1 系动词be的一般过去时

am(is) →was are →were

陈述句:He was at home yesterday.

否定句:He wasn’t at home yesterday.
