The students are in Grade1. They are in different English levels, most of whom have a poor foundation of English.Their vocabulary is small, so they may have difficulty in collecting information by themselves.And they may not get accustomed to expressing their opinions in English . Therefore, I will encourage them to be brave and enhance their confidence by proper ways.
Teaching objectives
1.Knowledge goals
Students will ,master the key words and phrases.
2.Ability goals
a.Students will be able to identify the main idea of each paragraph.
b.Students will learn to find specific information .
c.Students will be able to tell each other the story of Christopher Reeve and voice their opinions.
3. moral goals
Students will learn to have a better understanding of “hero”. Meanwhile, they also need to build up strong will and confidence gradually .

1 Students learn how to collect specific information by themselves and exchange ideas and express opinions in English.

Step3 While-reading
1.The 1st reading: read and check your prediction.
