【教学过程】Stage 1: lead-in (导入环节)Activities(活动):
T: Teacher shows video to Ss and asks them the question of “Have you noticed anything special in the video? What are they talk about?”
Ss: Ss look at the video and answer teacher’s question.
T: Teacher asks Ss if they know a lot about Christmas and gets them prepared for a small quiz about Christmas words.
Ss: Ss answer the questions presented by teacher and try to understand the meaning of some unknown words.
T: Get Ss to have a review of the words appeared in the quiz.
Ss: Ss speak out the Chinese meaning of the words about Christmas.
Intentions(目的):
To draw Ss attention to the topic of this lesson.
To arouse Ss’ interset in this lesson.
To introduce some new words.
Time(时间): 7 minutes
(此过程主要是通过播放视频以及小测验的形式激发学生关于圣诞节的背景知识和兴趣,同时,引入词汇。)Stage 2: Fast-reading (快速阅读)Activities(活动):
T: Teacher asks Ss to read the passage quickly and divide the passage into three parts. (Some hints would be given if necessary. Teacher may remind students that this passage is a narrative. So the story is always told according to a timeline.)
Ss: Ss read the passage as quickly as possible and divide the passage into three parts.
T: Teacher asks some students to share their answers with the whole class.
Ss: Ss tell the whole class how they divide the passage.
Intentions(目的):
To get Ss to have a clear idea about how this passage is organized.
To lay a foundation for the next period of this lesson.
