学情分析

随着对外开放的进一步扩大，中外交流日益密切，学生对圣诞这一话题应该不是很陌生，加之本单元前几课已学习过有关中外节日、聚会、婚庆等礼仪和文化，学生对相关话题应该有了一定的知识储备；另外，本文是一位少年写自己的童年圣诞记忆，文中描述的画面、场景以及情感表达对同龄人的学生来说应该有共鸣，所以学生会非常喜欢这篇文章。

教学内容

话题：Memories of Christmas

词汇：carol, stocking, seriously, the North Pole, envelope, calendar, decoration, pudding, swallow, adult, put up, carry on

句型：

My sister, Alison, and I sat down in front of the fire and wrote a letter to Father Christmas telling him about all the presents we wanted.

We seriously wrote “Father Christmas, the North Pole” on the envelope, before giving them to our mother to post.

With December our excitement grew each day - as we opened the new year calendar, Christmas cards arrived in the post, Christmas lights appeared in the streets, and we attended the town carol service.

We tried to stay awake as long as possible to see Father Christmas but the next thing we knew it was morning. Christmas morning!

At the bottom of the bed was the stocking, now full of all kinds of small presents and sweets.

A big turkey with all the vegetables followed by Christmas pudding.

Then we had tea, with a huge Christmas cake covered with snowmen.

As soon as we turned off the light, we all fell into a deep, happy sleep.

重点: 从课本编排体系来说本课属于Skills Focus, 目的是培养阅读技能，要注意以下两个重点： 1.对记叙文的基本结构和线索的把握；

2.阅读理解选择题的答题策略。

难点：1.语言方面：读懂含有with 复合结构、现在分词作状语、倒装句等复杂句子；

2.能力方面：学会仿写出自己童年的（重要）节日记忆；

3.情感方面：文化比较，增强文化自信。
