The students, of intermediate English competence, are from Class 12, Grade One.The students are students in senior 1, active in thinking. They show a keen interest in the topic but they may not be familiar with the detailed information of this singer, Alanis. Therefore, understanding of the text must be ensured before skill teaching. Some of them have good foundation in English and can express their own opinions fluently. Also, they are used to being engaged in a long-term study group project, so the group task will be suitable for them to complete.

However, most of them may have difficulties in analyzing the logical information, text type and author’s writing purpose. Besides, they may know what kind of information is needed in a concert review, but they may not be able to talk about it fluently in English.
