Teaching procedures
Step 1 Pre-reading(5 minutes)
Lead in must attract students’ learning interest quickly and efficiently, so I made a video by myself. In the video, I show how to make a paper cut. After watching the video, I will guide students to talk about paper cuts in the text, which also makes preparations for the post reading.
Step2 Fast reading(8 minutes)
At the moment, students are eager to learn more about paper cuts and they have a general knowledge of paper cuts. In fast reading, students try their best to get the main idea of each paragraph using skimming. Here is a reading strategy help students get the main idea accurately and quickly.
