Step1: Lead-in
Enjoy a short video of paper cuts, then ask two questions:
What does the video talk about?
Would you give paper-cutting a try?
Then, teach the students to make the paper-cutting of double happiness to lead in the new lesson.
Step2: Pre-reading
Appreciate some pictures of paper cutting, such as character, animals clothes etc.
Let the students describe each paper cut and guess their subjects, then learn new words: phoenix, rooster, decorate, tomb, etc.
