Step1. Leading in the grammar
Show students some sentences including subjunctive mood.
Step2. Defining and concluding the grammar
Concept: The Subjunctive Mood is used for to talk about the situations that are not real or not likely become true. It expresses the speaker’s good wishes, dreams ,assumptions, imaginations or suggestions .
Step3. Structures of the subjunctive mood
= 1 ﹨ GB2 ⑴ Contrary to the Present
= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① If I were a child, I would be happier.
= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② If she had time right now, she should certainly help you.
= 2 ﹨ GB2 ⑵ Contrary to the Past
= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① If you had worked hard ,you would have passed the exam .
= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② If they had obeyed the traffic rules , the car accidents would not have happened .
= 3 ﹨ GB3 ③ If I hadn’t won the ticket, I would not have been on the board.
= 4 ﹨ GB3 ④ If I hadn’t been on the board, I would not have met you.
= 3 ﹨ GB2 ⑶ Contrary to the Future
= 1 ﹨ GB3 ① If it rained/ should rain/ were to rain tomorrow, I would stay at home.
= 2 ﹨ GB3 ② If I sold/should sell/ were to sell one box of matches, I would /could/should/might go home.
= 4 ﹨ GB2 ⑷ sum up
