Ⅰ. Lead-in
1.Show students some slides about sea pollution. The teacher will ask some students to talk about the pictures : what is happening to the sea?
(The purpose is to let students realize the importance of protecting the sea and know the harm caused by sea pollution.)
2. Help students to know some new words about sea pollution.
(The purpose is to get rid of listening barriers and get ready for the listening)
3. Ask students to enjoy a video about over-fishing and encourage them to make suggestions about how to deal with the problem.
(The purpose is to help students to sum up another problem that the sea is suffering from, which can help students to understand more about listening)
Ⅱ.Listening
Task 1: Help students to learn listening strategies and explain how to use abbreviations to take down key words.
