Step1. Warm up
To look at the pictures and talk about the adventurers with students and teacher introduces some information of Marco Polo to the students
There are two questions for students to talk about:
1. Seeing the picture, who will you think about?
2. When talking about presents Zheng He brought for other countries, guess what
would Marco Polo bring to his country.
Step2. Pre-reading
Look the picture and have a free talk with the students to talk about the Macro Polo and what he did in China.
Step3. Reading
Task1. Fast reading
Read through the text quickly, and find match the paragraphs with the main idea.
Task2. Second reading
Read through the text quickly, and find out the information about Marco Polo and fill out the following form.
Step4. Exercise
Task1. After learning this passage, make a conclusion about how to describe a person from four aspects.
Task2. Give students some minutes to have a practice about describing a person and give them some time to share it with other students.
