? ?1. Lead in by showing a picture of the first car in the world and a video about the development of cars in the last 100 years to make students have a better understanding of cars.

? ?2. Do?warm-up?activities by asking and answering to introduce some famous cars in the world. Do a questionnaire about how many families in the class have a car and elicit some problems caused by cars.

? ?3. By skimming the text, ask students to decide the main two topics and divide the whole passage into two parts accordingly. So that the structure and the main ideas of the text are summarized.?

? ?4.?During scanning, the reading strategies are fully employed to help students make notes correctly and multiple-choice questions are also applied to make students find out more specific information.
