It is difficult for the students to express their point of views about their concept of money.

Teaching Methods: task-based teaching; audio-lingual approach; communicative approach; suggestopedia.
Teaching Procedure:(40 minutes)
Step1: Lead-in(5 minutes)
T: Ask the students to look at the list and answer the question- What is important to you?
to have lots of money / a good job / a big car
to be healthy / with my family / with my friends
to help other people / to do well in exams
Ss: Discuss with their parters and answer the question bravely.
Step2: The content of the unit.(5 minutes)
Read magazine and newspaper articles, and advertisements.
Practise shopping, bargaining(讨价还价), complaining and selling.
Listen to a radio programme and shopping dialogues.
Write an advertisement.
Learn about quantity words and expressions as well as infinitives(to do sth).
Step3: Listening(15 minutes)
(1) First listening(10 minutes)
T: Firstly, the teacher asks the students to look at the four pictures and listen carefully to the four materials. The teacher will ask the students a question-Which of the people in the photos are speaking?
Ss: The students listen carefully to the four materials and match the 4 speakers with the pictures.
