3.教学目标分析 At the end of this period, students are expected to:
Language Ability
get familiar with the words and expressions related to the topic of the text.
(2) apply the word-formation and synonymous replacement to the process of focusing language .
Learning Ability
practice scanning for specific information by answering questions.
summarize the main idea of each paragraph with the help of some key words.
get the main idea of the whole text with the help of the outline.

be aware of using money wisely and play their part to protect environment.

further form the logical thinking of making a suggestion,finding and analyzing problem, and solving problem and calling on people to do something.

4. 教学重、难点分析Teaching focus
Students will be guided to read the passage for the detailed information.
Students will be guided to summarize the main idea of a paragraph and the text.
Students will focus on the language learning.
After reading, students will work in a group to discuss the understanding of the title to get a better understanding of the text.
Teaching difficulties
Students may think it difficult to find key words to summarize the main idea of each paragraph.
Understanding the title “ When less is more” is also a challenging task for students.
5. 教学过程设计Step1: Lead- in (3 mins)
Task1 : Enjoy some pictures and answer the question: If you have 5 yuan, what will you buy?
Task2: Look at some pictures about the problems with the Yellow River., then think about the question:Do you think 5 yuan can save the Yellow River? T:If yes, do you know how? If you feel puzzled,it doesn’t matter, let’s find out the answer by reading the text.
设计意图:通过图片和两个问题(如何使用5元和5元是否能拯救面临各种问题的黄河)来引发学生思考,激发学习兴趣和进行阅读的欲望,自然过渡到本课主题。
