Develop them to love tripping, love nature and enjoy our life.
4). Teaching Keys and Difficult Points
1. Key points:
(1).Be able to use the past forms correctly.
(2). Discuss how to write a trip diary.
2. Difficult point:
Be able to write their last trip diary correctly.
Step1. “Yes” or “No” game. It’s a warming up
After introducing the topic of this class, I’ll show some pictures in Zhijiang, ask the students “Did you like going on a trip?” “Did you go anywhere interesting?” “Did you go there for a trip?” If their answers are yes, they will stand up qulickly and say “yes” loudly. I will tell them they are all the places of interest in Zhijiang. Hope everyone can go there for a trip. That’ll be interesting. I use the real places of interest in our city to raise the interest of students. They’d like to continue studying
Step2. Enjoy Miss Wang’s trip. It’s a preparation
1. I made a video of my last trip, students watch it and listen carefully, before that I ask two questions to ask them to answer: “How was my trip? What did I do?”
2. Then I ask them to say out what other things they can do when they are taking a trip, I will show some of them on the Bb, two students write their past forms on the Bb. After checking, a student read them, the others read after her/him.
This part is to revise some of the verb phrases and their past forms. It’s ready for writing.
Step3. Enjoy Bob’s trip. They learn by themselves.
1. I lead them to look at the pictures carefully, and answer the questions.
2. Then ask them to help Bob to finish his diary in groups, fill in the blanks. Then one student to check the answers, they can have different answers in some blanks.
3. Ask them to read it, boys read after girls. At last, answer: “How was Bob’s trip?”
Step4. Enjoy Linda’s trip. They also learn by themselves.
I also lead students to find: Linda went on the same trip as Bob. But how was her trip? Lead students to find “boring”.
Then ask students to discuss to finish 3b in groups, and the leaders write the answers on the yellow paper.
Two groups read their answers, and put them on the blackboard. One student will check the answers, then they will look at one to read together.
Ste5. Have a discussion
1. Compare Bob’s diary and Linda’s, ask them what they found.
Bob’s trip was great, but Linda’s was boring, though they had the same trip.
I’ll tell them, that’ll be OK. Different people can have different feelings.
2. Look at their diary, students will discuss how to write a diary in groups.
I’ll show them the key words from 3a. Let them find some factors of the diary.
3. I made a micro class video. Students watch it and listen carefully. It makes them exactly understand how to write a trip diary.
Step6. Write your trip diary. They learn to use.
1. Before writing, we’ll have an interview by asking and answering the followings.
