Teaching procedures:
I. Warming up:
1. The teacher shows some pictures of several super stars and asks students two questions:
Who are they? And who do you think took these pictures.
Students thus learn two new words: celebrity and paparazzi.
2. The teacher show some other pictures of famous people’s reactions when they faced the paparazzi. Then the teacher plays a video of Princess Diana and describes how the paparazzi killed her indirectly
II. Before listening:
Students read a short summary of the video and match the new words with their definitions according to the context.
III. While listening:
1st listening:
Students listen to the dialogue and choose the topics mentioned.
2nd listening:
Students listen to the dialogue again and fill in the blanks.
3rd listening:
According to Dr. Lindbrow, which of the following attempts (尝试) of the paparazzi is probably not legal?
IV. After Listening:
1.Students discuss the questions on the screen in groups with the help of the given expression. Then the teacher asks several students to voice their opinions.
2.The teacher summarizes the reasons.
V. Homework
Write down students’ opinions on the two questions
