It takes patience and guidance to help students use listening strategies to get specific information and develop reading skills while listening. Besides, whether students can express personal opinions properly and fluently is a big challenge.

Teaching Procedures:
Step 1 Lead-in
Present some pictures of people that are familiar to the students and let them answer the following questions:
Who took these photos?
Why didi they take these photos?
Step 2 Pre-listening
In order to help the students better understand the listening material, the teacher will presents some vivid pictures related to the key words of this lesson, and let the students match the words with their pictures. After that, read them to consolidate.
Step 3 While-listening
First, students will skim the listening strategies:
1. predicting the possible answers;
2. focusing on the important words;
3. taking notes and using abbreviations(缩写).
Then, students will listen to the tape for the first time and answer the following questions to get the gist of this material:
