Teaching procedure:
Step1. Greetings
Greet the whole class as usual.
Step2. Lead-in
Have a short quiz test to check students’ understanding of culture shock, and then lead in the topic of Lesson1by questioning students what cultural differences one may experience when visiting Britain.
Step3. Reading
Draw students’ attention to the letter in Lesson1 and inform them how to read a letter, and then instruct them to work out the framework of this letter.
Based on the section1 above, students fill in a table to understand some detailed information about Britain, then make a comparison of Britain and China in some aspects to figure out the differences.
