A Master of Nonverbal Humor是一篇典型的人物传记类文章,介绍了幽默大师卓别林生平事迹,从他的出生到童年,成长,事业和成就以及离世。卓别林的童年非常不幸,但是他没有苦难打倒。凭对生活的乐观,克服困难的决心和信心,卓别林最终登上了艺术事业的巅峰,成为无声幽默的大师。
重点词汇:content , entertain, failure, overcome, convince, astonishing, entertaining等等。
重点短语:badly off, pick out 等等。

4. 教学重点与难点:
教学重点在于学生能够在情境中学习和运用语言。难点是学生通过学习后如何在主题语境中得体地运用所学语言知识。

1)学生在上一节课已经进行了reading学习,对文章内容进行了理解,比较熟悉课文内容。
2)这节课前有布置学生朗读课文和研读典型句型,进一步理解文章内容,并对重点词汇,语言点有个大概的预习。
