3. 教学内容分析：

A Master of Nonverbal Humor是一篇典型的人物传记类文章，介绍了幽默大师卓别林生平事迹，从他的出生到童年，成长，事业和成就以及离世。卓别林的童年非常不幸，但是他没有苦难打倒。凭对生活的乐观,克服困难的决心和信心，卓别林最终登上了艺术事业的巅峰，成为无声幽默的大师。

重点词汇：content , entertain, failure, overcome, convince, astonishing, entertaining等等。

重点短语：badly off, pick out 等等。

重点句型：find/ leave/make的复合结构You may find it astonishing that Charlie was…..

4. 教学重点与难点：

教学重点在于学生能够在情境中学习和运用语言。难点是学生通过学习后如何在主题语境中得体地运用所学语言知识。

5. 学情分析：

1）学生在上一节课已经进行了reading学习，对文章内容进行了理解，比较熟悉课文内容。

2）这节课前有布置学生朗读课文和研读典型句型，进一步理解文章内容，并对重点词汇，语言点有个大概的预习。
