Step I Lead-in
Tell the students first impressions are important and ask students what they will do if they have a bad first impression of someone to lead in the topic.
Step II Pre-reading
Students look at the title and the picture on Page 14 and guess what the passage is about.
Step III Reading
1. Tell the students the text can be divided into four parts and ask them to get an outline of the text and think of a topic for each part.
2. Ask the students to decide whether the sentences on the screen are true or false.
3. Guide the students to form pictures in their mind when reading the text.
4. Read the text part by part by finding answers to the teacher’s questions.
