Step1 Warming up

2. Revision. Review some past tense.
Step2 Presentation
1. Show the new words and learn to read it.
2. Work on 1a.
Focus attention on the picture. Ask students to tell what they see. Name each activity and ask students to repeat: did my homework, went to the cinema, went boating, camped by the lake, went to the beach, played badminton.
Point out the numbered list of activities. Say each one again and ask students to repeat.
Then ask students to match each activity with one of the pictures. Say, Write the letter of each activity next to the words. Point out the sample answer. Check the answers.

1. Work on 1b. This activity gives students practice in understanding the target language in spoken conversation.
