How to apply for the job?
【Purpose】Arouse the students' interest in study and bring the topic: writing a letter of application.
= 2 ﹨ ROMAN ﹨ MERGEFORMAT II Read one model passage on page 30. ( 8-10 minutes )
Let the students go through the advertisement and the letter, do Ex1 and EX2 on page 30 .
Ex1 : Answer the following questions.
1. What reasons does Li Meiling give for applying the jobs?
2. What evidence does she give to show that:
a) She is hard working and committed?
b) She gets on well with people from different backgrounds.
c) She would be a good reporter.
Ex2: Summarize the main idea of each paragraph.
