《Communication Workshop》教案优质课下载

It provides a basic guided writing intended to improve students’ writing skill.

Teaching aims

This lesson plan is to help students become independent writers and improve their writing skills. By the end of the lesson, learners will be able to:

· write clear and grammatically correct sentences related to an application letter

· organize the letter properly

· produce a “ real letter”

· develop awareness of the need of real communication

Focuses and difficult points in teaching

Focuses

This lesson focuses on instructing students to write an application letter.

2.Possible difficult points

Students may have some difficulties writing logically and grammatically correct sentences.

They often don't have much to say about personal qualities and qualification to show they are qualified for the job.

Approaches and strategies

1.Task-based principle

Students are asked to carry out various tasks using the sample language in authentic situations to show that students learn English by using it.

2.Student-centered principle

· Teacher acts as a resource provider and an instructor, providing helpful language and inspiring them to use properly. Learners act the leading role of practice in class under the guidance of the teacher.

· Tasks go from controlled to less-controlled ones, then to real communicative activities to keep students in the process of learning and gradual language improvement.

3. Communicative method

Tasks are created for students to express ideas rather than just remember sentence structures.
