Teaching key and difficult Points:
Train the students' ability of writing by writing an application letter for a dream job.
Help the students grasp some effective skills of analyzing writing tasks and use them in writing.

Step 1 Greetings and organizations
Greetings.
Show a video to help them relax and lead in the topic.
Step 2 Self-observation
Students read the sample letter and find out the outline of an application letter.
Give them a few moments to memorize the outline.
Step 3 Self-practice
Present the writing task and help students to analyze the demands of the job.
Ask the students to recall the outline summarized just now.
Show them the writing of Pragraph1 to give them an example. Then divide the students into two teams and play a relay game of translating: Team One write a letter in Chinese, then make a speech group by group. Team Two translates them into English group by group as well. Then switch their roles.
(Students will be given two minutes to make a preparation.)
Show some linking words and advanced sentence patterns to help them polish their writing.
Finish the writing of Paragraph 3 together.
Step 4 Self-consolidation
Students are required to finish the writing individually. Each team choose one of them to write on the blackboard.
Peer correcting. (Team members can help to correct the writings.)
Step 5 Self-assessment
The two students are required to check each other’s writings and give a fair assessment according to the assessment criteria. The other students also exchange their writings with their group members and give a score. All the writings will be handed in after class.
