教学步骤
Step1 Lead in
1,Show some some photos of disabled persons and discusses:
What do they have in common?
2,Game(Pair work ):
One closes the eyes
The other spells a word into the hand of your partner, asking him/her to tell the word.
See if your partner can tell the word?
3, show a video clip of Helen Keller and asks Ss to think of words that can be used to describe her behavior. Meanwhile elicits the words unbearable, stubborn, troublesome and lets Ss read them aloud after T.
Step2 Pre-reading
1,A Brief Introduction and discuss what were her problems.
2, Ask the students to look at the title, the picture and the first three lines to predict what the story is about.
The students skim the text (the first sentence in each paragraph) to check their predictions.
Step3 While-reading
1,Ss scan the rest of the text to find out the words Helen learned.
Ask students to tell the differences between doll & water and love & think.
2,Judge four sentences, If the sentence is wrong, please correct it.
3, Answer Five comprehension questions. Students can discuss with each other.
