Greet students as usual and show them some pictures and ask them “What makes us laugh?” according to the pictures.

Read the first and last lines of each story, look at the pictures and match the stories and the pictures with the headlines.
ⅱ. Second reading
Read the three stories and then answer the following questions (play MP3 to students)
Why does the woman write a cheque for $50?
(Because she couldn’t remember how to spell the word “forty” correctly.)
Why does the girl decide to change her response when her father asks her the second question?
(She thought it was another trip after the first one.)
What does the man mean when he says “Do you know who I am?”
(He means that he is a very important person so the counter agent must look after him first).
