Students learn how to apply humor and laughter to the daily situations.

Learning Methods(学习方法)

Task based listening methods ;Group-work methods;Guessing-checking methods.

(Purpose: In class, a task based on the required exercises will be done in the whole listening. After class, a composition about the application of humor and the effects of laughter will be also assigned. By the use of group-work, Ss will be more willing to participate in the listening and speaking part and Ss-centered teaching method can be applied. Guessing& checking method is aimed to make Ss more concentrated.).三、学习者特征分析(Part Ⅲ Characters analysis of students)Senior two students equipped with what they’ve learned in Senior 1 have some basic knowledge about the importance of laughter.

But the actual level of their listening and speaking may not be sufficient for the following learning, and they lack the courage to express their ideas.

So in this lesson, I will do my best to help them practice their listening skills and encourage them to express themselves, making students the real master in class..

四、教学过程(Part Ⅳ Teaching procedure)Teaching procedure is made up of 6 parts:

Part 1 Lead-in(3mins)

I will show two jokes to students. Then students will be invited to answer the following questions:

Are they funny? Do they make you laugh?

A joke a day, keeps the doctor away. Do you agree?

Do you think laughter is good for your health? Why or why not?

(Purpose: using the funny jokes is helpful to lead in to the topic, arouse Ss’ interest , promote the atmosphere in the class and get them mentally prepared for the following study.)
