Part2: Teaching aims
According to the new standard curriculum and the syllabus (新课程标准和教学大纲), I think the teaching aims are the followings:
1.Knowledge objects:
Students are to learn and use vocabulary related to “beauty”.
Students are to make a summary of “What’s Beauty”.
2.Ability objects:
(1) To?develop?the?students’?reading?ability
(2) To train the students’ ability of working in pairs.
3.Emotion or moral objects:
Students are to learn a person’s inner beauty is much more important than physical beauty .
Students learn to express and appreciate different ideas .
Part3: Teaching methods
In my opinion,the main instructional aims of learning English in the Middle School is to develop the students’ abilities of listening, speaking, reading, writing and their good sense of the English language. So in this lesson I’ll mainly use
1. Task-based approach involves the students with different tasks.
2. The learner-centered approach and communicative approach as well as encouragement .
3. Group-work and individual-work combined with discussion.
Part4. Teaching Procedure:
Step 1: Lead-in.
Show the students some pictures, ask them are they beautiful? By this way, the students’ interests in beauty can be aroused.
