Analysis of the Teaching Material
The subject of this unit is Conflict. And this lesson focuses on improving students’ interest in learning this unit based on the teaching material. This lesson will be finished in one period and this Warm-up is the first period of Unit 23 Conflict. The subject of this period is to stimulate their interest in learning the text and let students know the importance of peace and learn to solve some conflicts in effective ways.
Analysis of the Students
The students may have little interest in learning the topic—conflict. And their vocabulary is limited in this aspect and they may lack the courage to express themselves. However, if the teacher can use proper teaching methods, the students can give us pleasant surprises. In addition, as Senior Two students, they have the ability to get information, and solve some problems on their own.
