Teaching procedures:
Step 1::Lead-in(2’)
Teacher asks Ss the question:
How can we improve our writing ability?
Collect Ss’ ideas and use a quote from a famous Chinese poem to elicit the point------Reading contributes to writing.
目的:思维探索:问题及其解决方式。用两句古诗词帮助学生明确本课的教学思想:写作技能的提高来源于阅读的积累。
Step 2: Warm-up(3’)
Teacher asks the Ss the question:
What can be learned from reading a text to help us write better?
Show a picture including the three aspects :structure,idea and language.Compare it with the growing process of a tree.
Lead Ss to pay attention to the three aspects when reading a passage.
目的:通过清晰明了的结构图归纳三个在阅读语篇时应注意的方面:逻辑结构,内容观点和语言表达。
Step 3:Reading(12’)
Task 1:Show Ss a short passage and let the Ss read the passage for 3 mins and draw an information map to show the structure and ideas.
After collecting the main points ,ask Ss to add some extra ideas concerning the topic.
Task 2:Underline some useful expressions.
目的:让学生自己用信息图的形式分析这篇文章的逻辑结构和要点内容,帮助学生通过分析语篇结构来提高自己构建语篇的能力。
阅读时划下重点词句,为随后扩写和改写做好铺垫。
Step 4:Writing(20’)
Task 1:Expansion writing
Instruct Ss to expand each opinion of the passage with the help of the information map and the underlined expressions.
Task 2:Rewriting
Ask the Ss to fill in the blanks based on the content of the text and use the sentence patterns to rewrite the original part.
Task 3:Summarizing
Get familiar with some ending sentences to sum up the opinions in the text.
