1.Surf the Internet to search for the related common sense about first aid;
2.Preview the reading material from para 1 to para 4 and finish the following map.
(Purpose of the design: assign students to use multi-media to collect relevant knowledge about first aid before the class, expand learning resources. Preview the reading material from para 1 to para 4 with map to increase students’ integration of fragmented information
设计意图:课前布置学生利用多媒体收集有关急救的相关知识,拓宽英语学习渠道,并对课文的前4段进行预习并完成学案内容,增加学生整合碎片化信息的能力。)

1. watch a piece of video with the two questions

What kind of help would you perform in the situation?
2.give the definition of FI and introduce some related background knowledge
(Purpose of the design: watch a piece of video filmed by the British Red Cross and stimulate students’ interest to discuss the topic. At the same time, check students’ assignment on collecting relevant knowledge, which can stress the importance of FI and broaden student’s vision and develop their culture character.
