Step 1.Revision

Revise some useful words and expressions in this passage, such as on upset, purpose, be crazy about , go through etc.;

Step 2.Leading-in

Discuss and answer the following questions:

1. What is a good friend?

2. What is friendship?

3. Does a friend always have to be a person? What else can be your friend?

Step 3.Reading

1. Try to guess what Anne’s friend is and what the passage is about by reading the title and having a quick at the pictures in this passage without reading it.

2. Skimming

1) Who/ what is Anne’s best friend?

2) When did the story happen?

3. Scanning

1) What did she do?

2) Why did she do that way?

4. Careful Reading

Read the passage again and fill the following form:
