How to guide students to write a letter of giving suggestions fluently and coherently.

Teaching procedures:
Step1 Greetings
Greet the whole class in an accustomed way.
Step2 Revision
Guide students to go over the reading passage and get familiar with the main contents of passage to lay the foundation for the following writing. By filling in the blanks, get students to master the usages of the key points.
Step3 Pre-writing
1.Provide background information for students to write .
2.Let students analyze the problems of the letter writers and outline the structure of the letter.
3. List the problems and outline of the letter on the blackboard .
4. Guide students how to get down to writing
Step3 Writing
Based on the analysis above, guide students to write the letter. Before writing, students should brainstorm the causes of smoking and harmful effects of smoking on teenagers. ( pair work or group work)
Collect and summarize the students’ ideas and meanwhile present them on the blackboard or on the projector.
Given that the time in class is limited, divide the students into three groups and guide each group to finish different part.
Guide the students to finish writing within the given time.
Step4 Post-writing
When the students finish their writing part, take the photos of their works using pad and show them in public to polish and correct possible mistakes together.
Combine the three parts to make a complete composition and show it on the projector for students to appreciate to know clearly how to write such a style of writing.
Summarize and end the lesson.
