Step 2 Pre-reading (3 minutes )
1. Share Lucy and her friends’ story.
Two months ago, they went camping in the forest. The air is so clean that they want to go. What did they do during the trip? They put up tents, make fire to keep warm and cook food on. They slept in the tent. Suddenly , she got a terrible surprise. A snake came out at night. Lucy was so scared that she couldn’t move. Then she shouted to her friend. Her friend started to jump up and down in her tent .This woke the snake up and it moved into the forest. (用PPT展示图片，分享自己的一次惊险经历，图片或肢体语言呈现生词： snake，move，shout 。学生在故事中感知scary, scared, ago, so...that... 。)

2. Careful reading (5 minutes )
Task 1：Read and answer the following questions.

What did they do on the first night?
They sat under the moon and told stories each other.
Ss read and find the answers by themselves, then they can work in groups to solve the difficulties if necessary. Ss share the answers in the whole class. The T praises the Ss who do it well.
