Ⅱ. The analysis of the students
Through the periods before, the students have learned something about earthquakes, such as the strange signs before an earthquake, the damage that earthquakes may cause, and the rescue and rebuilding work after an earthquake. Meanwhile they have already learnt many useful words, phrases and sentences. In this period the teaching and learning will center on listening and speaking. Although the students have mastered some listening skills, the teacher also needs to continue to guide and organize appropriate activities to improve their ability of listening. As to the speaking, the students may have some difficulty in giving the speech.so before speaking, students are also required to have a full discussion to enrich their minds and prepare for their following speaking.
