第二步:小组活动,让学生从阅读课文中找出定语从句,因为通过前阶段的学习,学生们对课文里出现的这些句子很熟悉;学生们分成五大组,每组从文章一或者二段中,找出定语从句。目的:一帮助学生进一步认清定语从句;二,导出今天学习的主题——关系副词when, where, why在定语从句中的用法;三,是培养学生探究式学习习惯以及相互协作能力。
The mines where I got a job were 9km from my home.
The reason why I got a job was because of my hard work.
The time when I joined the ANC Youth League was late at night.
The government building where we voted was very grand.
The date when I arrived was the 5th August.
五句中关系副词 where, why, when 都可以用介词加关系代词来替换,如
The mines in which I got a job were 9km from my home.
The reason for which I got a job was because of my hard work.

The date on which I arrived was the 5th August.
第三步:引导学生去分析上面找出的定语从句,思考关系副词的作用,先行词的意义,进而让学生自己总结关系副词的用法。

第四步:设计了两种练习:一是用关系副词把两个简单句合并成一个定语从句;二是用关系副词填空。目的:学以致用,让学生在练习中深入理解关系副词的用法,巩固本节课学习到的知识。
第五步:挑出容易犯错的知识点呈现给学生,帮助学生掌握易错点。
第六步:小组练习,四人一组,定语从句造句,难度加大,进一步巩固所学知识,培养学生学会应用所学知识去解决问题的能力。
