Task 1. Guessing game.
T: Now, let’s play a guessing game. Listen to me carefully and guess what I am talking about. It is something important to us. You can not see or touch it. But it really exists. What is is?
S: Maybe it is air.
T: Yes (show the sentences) Another one, he is a popular singer. He comes from Taiwan. One of his famous songs is “千里之外”。 Who is he?
S: Jay Chou.
T: Great! (show the sentences) The third one, he is a scientist. He is known for super hybrid rice. Who is he?
S: Yuan Longping
T: Good! (show the sentence) It is a beautiful city. We have held the 2008 Olympic Games there. Where is it?
S: Beijing.
Task2: Rewrite the sentences.
Ask students to rewrite the sentences above and the teacher pick out the students who use the attributive clause to show their sentences.
T: Let’s see this girl’s sentences.
S: Air which we can not see or touch is something important to us.
