Teaching Process
Step 1. Warming up：Food Riddles
Activity: Ask the students to read the clues with a partner and guess what it is. (3 minutes)
Clue 1.This small round food was used in many ways centuries ago.
Clue 2.It was eaten as a main dish in the Mediterranean(地中海).
Clue 3.In the past years, it was probably best known as oil.
Clue 4.It was even used as a medicine and to clean the body.
Clue 5.You probably don’t think of it as a fruit, but it is.
The food is: a) lemon b)olive c)orange
Goals：the riddle concerning past simple passive voice is used to draw the students’ attention to the class and arouse their interests to the grammar.
Step 2. Presentation
Activity:
1) Summarize the form of the passive voice in the past simple tense with the whole class. (1')
