Teaching Process
Step 1. Warming up:Food Riddles
Activity: Ask the students to read the clues with a partner and guess what it is. (3 minutes)
Clue 1.This small round food was used in many ways centuries ago.
Clue 2.It was eaten as a main dish in the Mediterranean(地中海).
Clue 3.In the past years, it was probably best known as oil.
Clue 4.It was even used as a medicine and to clean the body.
Clue 5.You probably don’t think of it as a fruit, but it is.
The food is: a) lemon b)olive c)orange
Goals:the riddle concerning past simple passive voice is used to draw the students’ attention to the class and arouse their interests to the grammar.
Step 2. Presentation
Activity:
1) Summarize the form of the passive voice in the past simple tense with the whole class. (1')
